SIL 2 certified: Electronic overspeed switch EGS 41 with a hollow shaft

Deploying the electronic overspeed switch EGSH 41 ensures operators of rolling mills fulfill their obligations to protect the safety of personnel and avoid accidents in compliance with the Machinery Directive. The reason: the EGSH 41 with a hollow shaft design is certified by TÜV NORD for use in safety-related applications up to SIL 2 in accordance with EN61508 and PL d to EN 13849. It has two safe switching outputs to monitor speed. Overspeed and underspeed are user programmable from 0.5 rpm.

Standstill and slip monitoring are included as is a diagnostics switch to monitor safety functions in the device. In addition, there is an integrated switching contact to monitor the status.
