U-ONE Generation II (LWL) is the second generation of the proven universal encoder system for speed and position monitoring. The encoder system consists of a basic unit on the application shaft and function modules in the switchboard.
The encoder signals are transmitted from the basic unit to the controller module in the switchboard via just one fiber optic cable – interference-free over distances of up to 1000 meters.
The universal encoder system U-ONE(-SAFETY)-LWL replaces mechanical overspeed switches and mechanical cam limit switches with more precise electronic speed switches and position switches. The encoder system does not require distribution gears, distribution couplings or speed increasing gears.
Optionally, the encoder system is certified in all components for safety applications up to SIL 2 / PL d.
The U-ONE LWL (FOC) encoder system comprises a basic unit and function modules in the switchboard – this is the ideal solution when FOC transmission is possible and when there is sufficient space in the switchboard.
The universal encoder system U-ONE(-SAFETY)-LWL enables higher system productivity: An increase in performance is achieved through the optimized usage of permissible speed ranges as well as fast and precise positioning.
