15 runners from Hübner Giessen among the starting line-up for the 19th “Run ´n´ Roll for help”.
For the staff at Johannes Hübner Giessen that meant once again: pull on your running shoes and run a few kilometers for a good cause.
The big day arrived on Sunday, 20 August. The runners met in the town centre at the start of the 5 km course. Three times they ran around a circuit before they crossed the finishing line at the end of the course. The weather was also on its best behaviour in time for the start, so all of the runners were able to enjoy dry conditions.
All told, some 1600 runners and walkers were at the start in aid of a good cause – including our own runners, who all managed to cross the finishing line in good spirits.
However, Hübner Giessen was not only amongst the runners. Several members of staff and their relatives could not resist enthusiastically cheering on their colleagues. After all of our staff crossed the finishing line they all got together to see out the day in a convivial atmosphere.
The money from the entry fees benefited the registered charities Lebenshilfe Gießen e. V. (charity supporting disabled and vulnerable people) and the Aids-Hilfe Gießen e. V. (charity supporting people with AIDs and their relatives).
