Successful Trade Fair participation at the METEC 2011 in Dusseldorf with record number of visitors.
The technology Trade Fairs Quartett METEC, GIFA, THERMPROCESS and NEWCAST came to an end after five days a record number of visitors. A total of 79 000 visitors from 83 countries impressively confirmed their standing as the leading Trade Fairs serving the heavy industry sectors. The number of international visitors increased to 54 percent, in particular from India, China, Italy, France, Austria and the USA. The number of professionals from top managerial positions was also outstanding. Some 80 percent of visitors plan to make investments in the coming two years, and take advantage of Trade Fairs to gather information and make the necessary preparations.
The business division Sensoric represented Johannes Hübner, Fabrik elektrischer Maschinen GmbH as an exhibitor at the METEC. The company's presentation focused on system solutions designed to meet the special requirements of applications in steel and rolling mills.
Displayed amongst others were
- An encoder system for main drives with SIL-certified overspeed switches designed to deliver increased protection for personnel and safety at work
- A magnetic encoder system with split pulse wheel as an encoder solution for tandem drives with no shaft end available
- Special looper encoder as a robust solution for loopers in hot rolling mills
- A magnetic encoder system housed in an extremely slim design as an encoder solution for drive measuring rollers in cold rolling mills
- The universal encoder system U-ONE® as a compact solution for side guides and screw downs
- DC motors for automated guieded vehicle systems for transporting casting ladles in steel works
