Electronic overspeed swicht EGS®(H) 41 certified for mining applications

After the successful certification SIL (SIL 2 acc. IEC 61508 and Pl d acc. DIN EN ISO 13849), the new electronic overspeed switch EGS^®(H) is now approved for mining applications. The inspection authority for mining equipment in Senftenberg certify the suitability of the EGS^®(H) 41 for use in lifting and winch units of mining equipment. Because of the extreme environmental conditions (frost, heat, dust, humidity, etc.) as well as the many dangers for people and equipment are mining high demans placed on the reliability of machines and equipment.

For mor then 10 years, the inspection authority for mining Senftenberg certiefied the electronic overspeed switches of Johannes Hübner Gießen with suitability fro mining applications, the first generation devices EGS 3 or rather EGS 4 and now the next generation EGS^®(H) 41. The Declaration states in part: " Up to now, no events have been known, could be attributed to a failure of speed limit switch as a monitoring, control and safety devices".
