For more than 70 years the name Johannes Hübner is known for reliable measurement and encoder technology as well as for the most modern tailor-made drive engineering. In our plant in Giessen we develop and produce high technological products for industry. Along with analog tachos and incremental encoders for speed control, our absolute encoders in addition with electronic overspeed switches are applied in mining, rolling mills, shipbuilding and paper industries.

HÜBNER GIESSEN encoder solutions with optical fibre technology have now penetrated railway and harbour engineering, e. g. for high-speed-trains, the most modern shiploaders and container cranes. Specially developed electronics and software have replaced former mechanical components and support our encoders to obtain integrated solutions.

Teamwork

As in the years before, our business moved into the new millennium with an almost two-figure rate of growth. Close cooperation with our customers enabled the developement of complete solutions in encoder engineering, special motors und generators, application-specific from a single source. Our experience and innovation have been used to make a mark in all sectors of the "Heavy Duty" industry. We integrate high-performance components into our optical fibre and bus technology, taking a future-orientated direction for crane and railway technology.
