MAG (one-piece pulse wheel)

MAG 200, hollow shaft Ø to 140 mm
MAG 320, hollow shaft Ø to 250 mm
MAG 400, hollow shaft Ø to 340 mm
MAG 480, hollow shaft Ø to 415 mm
MAG 1200, hollow shaft Ø to 1000 mm

Magnetic encoder Type MAG 160...1200

Magnetic encoder without own integrated bearings

Field of application e.g.:

  • Drive shafts for ships
  • Motors for open-pit shovels
  • Shaft connections between tandem test stand motors
  • Gas and water turbines
  • Motors/generators with large shaft diameters
  • Particularly suitable for retrofitting utilizing split constructions (optional)

Advantages:

Magnetic scanning principle

  • Resistant to normal soiling
  • Considerable air gap and axial shifting possible (e.g. necessary for moveable bearing end of motor)

Without integrated bearings

  • Large hollow shaft diameter possible
  • Wear-free
  • No heating
  • Low noise
  • More cost-effective than hollow shaft encoders with integrated bearings

IDEAS AND SOLUTIONS

INDUSTRY: Steel and rolling mills

FIELD: Cold rolling mills

APPLICATION: Measuring roll

Refinements to processing techniques implemented by users of steel and sheet metal as well as greater demands on finished products are leading to increasingly higher demands being placed on the mechanical-technological characteristics and precision in cold rolling mills. As a consequence they are equipped with state-of-the art control systems. more
