The new Business Division Energy Systems on the upswing

Johannes Hübner Giessen does press ahead with their energy systems. In only a short time the new business department Energy Systems became established. At the “HUSUM WIND ENERGY” trade fair the first complete Hübner hybrid and mobile EnergyContainer^® will be presented.

The goal of the container is to reduce dependence on fossil fuels and timber. With this in mind it has been equipped with a 5 kW wind turbine and a 4 kWp photovoltaic system that draw their energy from the environment as well as a diesel-powered generator with 10 kW power. Generated energy that temporarily exceeds actual needs is stored in 1200 Ah batteries capacity.

In generating electricity an innovative 24 kVA "multichannel inverter" and a higher-level energy management system regulate the different sources of energy according to priority taking into consideration the respective actual power requirements and weather conditions (solar/wind). This approach is designed to utilise the diesel generator unit as little as possible and guarantee operations over a period of months without requiring maintenance or service work.

The steel construction of the container has recently been finished, these days the electrical installation is being finished.
